Pastoral Support Assistant

3 days per week only

Scale:                            Grade E

Hours of work:          18.75 per week    8.45am – 12.30pm and 1.00pm – 3.30pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Responsible to:          Headteacher

Direct reporting to:  Lead Practitioner for Home School Support

We are looking for someone who can:-

• Supervise and provide particular support for pupils with Behavioural, Social and Emotional difficulties, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils, and interact with them according to individual needs
• Provide parental support through the EHA process
• Has a deep rooted understanding of community issues and has worked effectively in previous roles to positively impact change
• Has a thorough understanding of child protection processes and systems and of statutory services available to parents
• Is confident in delivering a range of pastoral interventions
