Who's Who?
Our Governors - Pen Portraits
Tracy Elliott
I have been a school governor here at Croyland Primary School for about fifteen years, with two as Vice Chair and was appointed Chair in September 2018. Having had my own children attend the school, I am as keen now as then to help in moving forward and to see it thrive within our community, whilst ensuring we are doing the very best for it’s pupils.
I am a member of the personnel and Pupil Welfare sub committees. My own work is as a Registered Childminder so I am involved in the earliest stages of children’s development and education.
Aside from that, I am a keen quizzer, an avid foodie and a big fan of football and darts.
Jo Summers
I have been teaching since 2007 and have taught in both the EYFS and Key Stage 1. I have worked in two different school settings in Northamptonshire, a large primary school in Northampton and I am currently the nursery teacher at Croyland Nursery School.
I have been a co-opted governor for the school since 2014. I feel that my experiences working in education support my role as a governor for Croyland Primary School. I am able to offer an objective view whilst supporting the school in achieving their vision.

I am delighted to become a governor at Croyland Primary School, where I spent my primary school years many years ago. After teaching for 38 years in Northamptonshire, I have the experience and expertise to offer the governing body. I will support the Headteacher and her staff in their desire to make a happy, safe and inspiring school where every child is valued. I am a Local Preacher in the Methodist Church, a Councillor representing Swanspool Ward on the Borough Council of Wellingborough, and a trustee of The Daylight Centre.

I am qualified management accountant with years of financial experience. I have also managed a PMO team dealing with recovering risks, issues and project planning.
I am a former governor with 10 years of prior experience so that I can add value and support to the headteacher and bursar.

I recently retired in December 2021 after working for over 20 years at Croyland Primary School and feel I have a sound knowledge of the demographic area the school serves. At Croyland, I taught PSHE across the school as a HLTA and also managed the behaviour team and line managed the lunchtime team. Previously, I worked in accounts offices for 2 local companies and social services.
I enjoy local history, reading and have just learnt to play the ukulele. I also volunteer at Chester House.
I am hoping my eclectic experiences could benefit the governing body at Croyland.

I have worked in Northamptonshire education for 20 years in an IT Support role. My experience is across three secondary schools and four primaries. Having worked across so many schools I have experienced both challenges and successes and look to bring this knowledge to my governor role at Croyland.
As a former student of Croyland Primary School I am excited to be a part of the governing board and work towards achieving the best possible results for our students.
I am a member of the Finance and Pupil Achievement and Welfare Committees and have the role of IT Governor.
