Termly Learning Focus
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming the children back into school and catching up with their latest news. Year 6 is always busy year thinking about secondary schools, leaver’s fun, and trips and of course our SATs but we will be sure to embrace every step together and make it a year to remember.
In our first term, we will continue to build on all of their hard work from Year 5. Lessons will continue in the same structure that the children are confident with. In Literacy we will be writing a story based on the familiar tale of Hansel and Gretel by Neil Gaiman, however this version comes with a twist! We will continue to develop our narrative writing using the text Letters from the Lighthouse by Emma Carroll. In Maths, we will be developing pupils understanding in place value and the 4 operations.
Across the rest of the curriculum, we are growing our learning in:

Geography |
Art |
PE |
Computing |

The world wide web as a communication tool |
