About Us

What is it like to be a child at Croyland Primary School?

Warm, safe, nourished, happy.

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Croyland Primary School. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It has been designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the planned learning of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver.

Our school is a large primary, set in spacious grounds close to Wellingborough Town Centre. We share our school site with Croyland Nursery School and work in partnership with the various town nursery settings to ensure an effective transition for children entering Foundation Stage.

Visitors to our school comment positively on our size and space, our facilities and the stimulating environment. They describe our atmosphere as respectful and nurturing.

In serving as the Headteacher of Croyland Primary School, one of my leading priorities has always been, and remains, maintaining its recognition as a ‘good school’ that serves its community well. I have been in post for twelve years and my energy for the role is undiminished. It is important to me that the education your child receives here with us will enable them to achieve their academic potential and progress confidently into the next phase of their education. I am relentless in my commitment to ensuring that the children of Croyland have the mindset and possess the values that enable them to live well and safely whilst navigating the challenges and prospects presented to them.

As the world changes, Croyland changes. Responding to the impact of local, national and global issues on our pupils sharpens both my thinking, and that of my leaders, and ensures Croyland’s continued development and improvement.

I am very fortunate with my leadership, teaching and support team. They too recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs, and work tirelessly to provide a varied and engaging curriculum and a positive school experience. We are compassionate individuals who nurture and care. You will find our classrooms to be hives of activity; full of creativity and learning and most importantly, happy children.

I believe Croyland to be a special place for children.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit.  The children of Croyland very much enjoy talking about and sharing their achievements and our successes.
